Maybe you should play this track first before you carry on reading!
Let me put it like this! It’s Monday, or stormy Mondays as B.B. King would sing it! It’s also the end of the month, so bills are pouring in, my phone service provider (O2) want to extort me £50 to cancel my contract, and my bank sent me a warning message today informing me of how dreadfully poor my balance is and wondering whether I was the reason behind the Euro Crisis! The thing is I’ve already had my share of bailouts, and I’m going through some austerity measures but that doesn’t seem to work! The only consolation is that the bank also informed me today that they paid me 20 pence in interest rate for the last month! I might survive!
The day slowly passed in huge procrastination on packing up before I leave this country and slipped away in the company of a friend drinking coffee, who was patient enough to go through my Monday blues while listening to all songs of B.B. King, Eric Clapton and Otis Redding.
In between all of that, I came across a couple of plants (or actually flower branches of some plant) (see below picture left) that have been tucked in behind the curtain in our living room. Forgotten and with the lack of sun, constant rain and humidity, the plants are dying slowly. They look aesthetically suitable for that room corner, and their beauty is nice enough to decorate the room, but only good enough to forget about their existence and assume they can take care of themselves!
Yet with all that beauty, it amazed me in its slow death and decay how nature immediately took its role in giving life to other life creatures, or actually little greenflies that invaded the branches with hundreds of little ones of them! How fragile beauty is if forgotten, and how unforgiving life can be when we succumb to weakness!
I better go and find some ladybird bugs to place them on the plant that will eat all of those greenflies while I continue listening to some beautiful music that will swallow away all my Monday Blues! ~ Peace, Abba
